Long time fan of Menzingers here. I think I like this one more than Hello Exile and Rented World.

I've always not loved Tom songs and this album is not exception

It seems I've heard more of OTIP than I thought. I'll give it a few run throughs in full this week.

First listen this is even worse than I thought. 2nd half completely blows so boring, unimaginative. I'd rather listen to Nebraska or sandinista over this.
The singles are decent though.

Why tf do all these types of bands have a trajectory that ends at adjunct-Bruce Springsteen?

There's no place in this world, Nobody Stays, Some of it was true, Try, Come on Heartache and Ultraviolet are the only ones I come back to on here. Could have been an EP.

Haven't listened yet, but sput's reaction doesn't exactly inspire excitement. Whatever the case, I think I'll still see them on their upcoming tour next year as long as they play some fan favorite oldies

Why does Tom sound like he's half asleep?

I have such a hard time differentiating the two singers too. After the party is one of my favorite albums and had no clue this band had two singers until recently. Can someone point out a song off this that is Tom and one that's Greg?

I somehow struggled with that at first too. For some reason I didn’t realize there were two singer for the first 3-4 months that I listened to OTIP. The difference is clear as night and day now, they do not have similar voices whatsoever lol.

A Greg song is Tellin’ Lies, and Thick As Thieves is Tom. 75% of the time, you’re listening to Greg.

Greg is the one who's always putting on an annoying irish accent on every song since chamberlain

Greg has like a warble to his voice, like a slight vibrato, and lol yeah he has some sort of an affectation

Tom just sounds really plain honestly

I've picked up the Green Day similarities and then other songs have that very thick southern vibrato approach, but I assumed Greg just had a few singing styles. Are there any singles (other than Try) that Tom sings? Every video I've seen is Greg so that's the only image of a singer I have for them. Regardless, great band. This album is growing heaps on me.

He sings try, nobody stays and love at the end.

Think he's realised since rented world that it's a greg show so he contributes less songs to each following record.

The more I think about it, the more I can distinguish between the two. I just don't think they're THAT different, and I'd only ever seen Greg sing. Just assumed he had a few singing styles (like a MUCH less versatile Axl Rose)
