Every deathcore band wants to be Lorna Shore now. Genre is basically dead because the symphonic stuff sucks

Is there anywhere deathcore can go from here anyway? Actually curious because i really dont like the genre but am intrigued to its potential for experimentation.

I mean yeah there's always somewhere for music to go in general, I don't think anyone in the 90s would predict where death metal OR hardcore would be in 2023

"Is there anywhere deathcore can go from here anyway?"
No. It's been over a decade, it's not evolving lol.

Basically it has been teetering on the edge of irrelevancy for years, this album is the first in forever to be somewhat fun and that's the ceiling lol

I would like just one band that mixed actual old school death metal sounding riffs with breakdowns but not slams or it's just suffocation and really reverberant cavernous production. just one time to see what it was like.

I like their first 2, maybe I'll listen to this one at some point

Digging the atmospheric sound on this. Production is spot on. The songs are there too, which thankfully don’t have any absurd vox lows at breakdowns

Or All Shall Perish-The Price of Existence

I was spinning TPoE at the gym the other week and honestly was surprised at how much Melodeath was in there. I remembered it sounding way more brutal in 2007!
|

Mandela Effect but it’s “damn I remember this band being way heavier wtf”

The Price of Existence will never be topped
And bands had quite some time to try
