Mid to me is still the best deathcore I've heard in years oddly enough lol

lil bit better than i expected but still kind of dull. TAIM are still playing deathcore very straight in a landscape chasing extremity and theatricality.

I dunno, I kind of appreciate this straightforward, skull crushing heaviness.

I don't really always need extravagant over the top nonsense - this is hitting the spot for me at gym, baybee

I definitely think that was a big factor for me. I'm so exhausted by the Lorna Shore style that has become so popular lately, it's incredibly overbearing and excessive. Give me the classic approach any day of the week instead.

Yeah exactly @Lucca, this does one thing well and I kinda appreciate that. It's still not really good but it's good enough. Serviceable, one might say lol

This, Gorephilia, Cryptopsy, Dying Fetus, Cannibal Corpse, Tomb Mold, Horrendous, Harms Way, Code Orange

Tbh I need a break so that I can fucking absorb everything lol - with my crazy schedule I barely have time to jam any of this more than like once or twice

I still can't get over how no one cared about the bassist wearing nazi clothing brand shit. Glad CJ is gone, but that asshole should be as well

Any source/pic on the bassist stuff? Never heard about that.

I've always really liked Hate and Dear Desolation, the rest of their albums including this one just feel like lesser versions of those two tho.

Yeah I could never get into Dear Desolation, which sucks because I kept trying to after all of those solid reviews

This is much better imo

I checked it again recently and it's pretty solid but it's just more of the same. I kind of wish they tinkered with their sound a bit more. Throw a curveball or 2
