does she have a noisy song on here like I don't smoke or my body's made of crushed little stars?

Not exactly, this has a more folk vibe to it so

There are some Microphones-esque noisy songs if that makes sense

Man this really is textbook lovely stuff but as alluded to on the first page I just wish several of these songs stuck around a little longer.

Bury Me through Cowboy are so good

You don't have to like her, but claiming she is a bad songwriter is silly

"songwriting" is a very nebulous term but i think what boney and i were talking about on the first page hits the nail on the head about her songwriting

songwriting on this and Laurel Hell are slight as a leaf and what i remember from Bury Me was a lot of bold gesticulation over pretty basic writing. will maybe finally check Puberty 2

Hmm I mean I do agree that on this and especially LH that many of the songs would be better fleshed out

You're not wrong but that's also why I love it, the rawness of it all

She always has at least one great song on her albums (usually one of the longer ones unsurprisingly) but yeah she is pretty inconsistent as a songwriter imo. I did recently get really into BMAMC and I think that's her best by far (indeed the relative rawness of that one really elevates it). This one is likely my 2nd favorite though, but it's still missing a bit of something to make it truly great.

very mitski, starts off with strongish openers then just becomes a bit papier-mâché

as someone who is also critical of mitski songs sounding unfinished I think a majority of these sound pretty full and fleshed out. and they're the prettiest instrumentals I've heard her over

this album kinda washed over me. A pleasant listen all the way through but nothing really stuuck with me. Might be a grower though

Saw mitski last night, some nice choreography but was weird watching a set that feels massively self-indulgent and all the songs are like 2-3 minutes long.
