@hyperion 💯 on both counts

But it's a bit odd to say they've got the metal aesthetic right. Cover and title is more 80's prog.

Damn this album is like instrumentally a 4.5 for me but vocally a 2. Apparently homie plays drums too so that's cool I guess that he can do both but definitely one of the most one note 0 range nathan explosion ass dm vocalists I've heard. Not enough to ruin a really solid album but truly did nothing for me in that aspect.

I loved planetary and this for me was a snoozefest. More fusion like metal played in a sloppy manner. Dont expect hearing Death's seminal albums. The songs are a mess, total riff salad.

I'm kinda with the few folks above me. These guys are one of my favorite current bands I got all their records here at the house I anticipated this album like crazy and it was just solid I felt kinda let down tbh. Solid album but maybe to drastic of a change for them imo. They took the prog a bit to far imo. They Were perfectly fine with the planetary clairvoyance sound slightly proggy but still dark and raw sounding death

Well they definitely took the prog direction and ran with it. It's essentially Dream Unending with the death metal aspect turned way up which I'm 100% here for.

The best parts are the prog wankery and weirdly beautiful atmo bits
Really juxtaposes the caveman gurgs well imo
