...but that track aside, I'm neither hating nor particularly loving this marginally more upbeat/slick-synthy redux for Ruby Haunt. They're still a reliable fix for slightly-above-average comfort music, but the relative busyness of these songs just reinforces how little is going on in them in a not particularly flattering way, whereas their slowcore stuff took their sparse songwriting rly well in its stride. lotta this reminds me of Vansire (w/ full eh factor)

maybe it's just the artwork for that album but that era of Ruby Haunt gives me much more of a late summer vibe than these last 2 albums. You have a point tho
