Can't compare apples to oranges guys.

DP did have some fast drumming though, but then again, their approach to music was fairly different in general.

I usually don't like to compare bands that belong to different musical generations, but that's just me.

I think I'll never get Slayer...

Tom Araya is an excellent bassist though. Viva Chile mierda!

By that logic, Chuck Berry, Bill Haley & His Comets, Elvis Presley and all those other guys from the 50's were the greatest artists rock music ever saw.

Black Sabbath cites Frank Zappa as a direct influence, did you know that?

I just don't subscribe to that "I influenced you, thus I'm better" kinda logic. Don't get me wrong, old-school rock has its charms.

Sabbath riffs are the best ever, thats reason enough.

It's usually true in metal, I mean can you name a better death metal band than Death or any metal band better than Sabbath?

@Danny: I agree. I mean with Talon's logic Frank Sinatra would be better than Mike Patton. Which I'd never agree with.

Mike Patton's all singing, Frank Zappa's a multi-instrumentalist. That's major apples and oranges

OK yes, Just because a band starts a music genre doesn't necessarily mean they're automatically the best at it. At all.

But Sabbath is the best because of their songwriting and riffs and lyrics and Ozzy and everything

@MrSirLordGentleman: Wait someone other than me dislikes Death Metal? FINALLY.

Though I will say crunkcore is a worse genre. I mean it's earbleedingly bad.

I don't listen to death metal anymore because it sounds like shit to me now, as opposed to back when I was an angsty

teenager. I was just making a point
