aalll tdwp crushes this shit-tier band
they weren't even fun bad like a lot of the other terrible scenecore bands like attack attack, they were just complete garbage and had maybe two songs anyone ever cared about
also you would get bullied for liking these guys back in the day[2] they were bvb tier of school shooter incel energy back then

jesus that is insane. these guys arent even that much of scenecore if you ask me. being compared to bvb kids is a new low lol. people i knew in high school just liked the music. i guess the scene kids listened to it too. shits different in florida ig
its so crazy to me how so many people have such a different perspective on their debut than me. the debut took what everyone else did and elevated it to a commercially successful level imo. like tdwp used synth sparingly and more as a complement (usually wacky in their first few albums). attack attack used it as like a pop hook. enter shikari was all hype. but asking alexandria used it like in trance. hugely fun but with dark undertones. and then their musicianship was what i always thought was the rock and roll of my era. dumbed down for sure but enormous guitars, huge chorus's, stupid lyrics. like that album is just well executed, well produced all the way through. its not very original and some of the tracks get redundant, but that's not that big of a crime with this style. i mean the final episode is a pretty dogshit song, and of course turned out to be the most popular but hopefully thats not what people are basing their opinions on

Was a really weird era in retrospect.

Stand Up and Scream is probably the best album to come out of the "scenecore" thing. Yeah, I said it.

Almost agreed Hawks, I do think Reckless & Relentless is a bit better. Both have great highs and insane lows though though. But same goes for almost all of their record. Last record was probably their most solid effort which they will never top.

As a connoisseur of scenecore, Asking Alexandria have been bottom of the barrel since the beginning
