Should I listen to Rainbow's Rising (or first three albums for me) before or after I listen to Deep Purple?

I'd say go with Rising first, and then Deep Purple(and when you check Deep Purple make sure to check their live album Made In Japan, it's the best thing in their discog)

@Titan, living in a home without people from America makes you live a sheltered life in terms of music.
@SharkTooth, got it already and thx.

You're in a great position man. Discovering all this stuff from the beginning is an incredible experience.
Regarding Deep Purple, make sure to check a few of their studio material first because Made in Japan might feel a bit overwhelming with all the improvisations and the extended jams. I'd say, check In Rock, Machine Head and Fireball and then Made in Japan.

I'm one of those people who listens to discographies chronologically so I usually don't go to the best album then to the albums before it. Also Made in Japan will probably be great for me anyway with those qualities especially as an Allman Brothers Band fan.

Then you're in for a treat. Bear in mind that first few albums by Deep Purple have nothing to do with the band's sound from In Rock onward even though you might now that already.
