pikazilla was my sister's idea, she's been a big pikachu fan for a long time
the godzilla part just enhances the troll image

Gave up on it ever since the year when the mountain of allegations came out. Tainted the scene for me beyond repair, most I've done since then is the occasional Project Plus local.

Last place I thought I'd run into other Melee fans lol. First tourney for me was in 2010, been watching consistently ever since. Worked briefly with a top-level 64 Player which was cool. Gave me a better appreciation for 64.

I was an OG Hungrybox fan back in the day, seeing his eventual run as the #1 player was the happiest I've been for anything sports or e-sports related lol.

I do find a lot of his sets boring, but that HBox Armada Evo 2016 Grand Finals is one of the hypest melee sets ever played. I was losing my mind. Real Clutchbox hours

HBox sets were always amazing to me. Peak anxiety. One hit on either end could be death, especially with how optimized the Fox v. Puff matchup became. And even when Box was down, you knew he always had a chance to fight back in.
EVO 2016 was thrilling. I lost my fucking mind over the reset, it was peak Melee for me. That final game, I was convinced Armada would come back somehow, but he really just cleaned it up.

if this sounded like swans the band, they would have at least 3 albums with a 4.3 average

Also Hbox YES I know nothing about melee but watched some YouTube documentary about hbox that went on for over and hour was for some reason captivating what a legend

It's coined from Will Swan, the guitarist of Dance Gavin Dance who's noodly riffage inspired an entire genre of similar quirky post hardcore.

lol I was right there with you man, he went from exclusively meme videos to making some of the more entertaining long-form content on YouTube. If you enjoy that, I'd have to imagine you would also enjoy SummoningSalt if you've never checked their stuff.
