Can we talk about this opener for a second? It feels like I’m being bludgeoned repeatedly and i love it.

Tbh going in blind after only really spinning their debut once, the opener had me afraid i was in for a Frontierer-style pivot into loud-as-fuck sensory overload. It's the softer, melodic touches I'm loving most here. "Why Becomes How" is 10/10 gazey goodness. Little surprised at the muted reception for the softer moments - those are 90% of why this is a 4.5 for me.

Venin the whole thing is incredible. Don’t get me wrong. I LOVED the softer moments of the record. The opener is an adrenaline rush is all I’m sayin

I'll probably wind up loving it after a while, but on first spin I wasn't sure if I was going to like this as much as everyone else till "Only By Name" came on.

same reason a bloodsoaked symphony's my least fav off kin and brimstone's bottom on the valley. "pure heavy" usually doesn't do it for me as well as other more varied feelings.

God damn this is fantastic, the heavy sections are absolutely ferocious and the dreamier sections are all very memorable.

aw cute nice cool rev, good work bois
will probably check this but never loved their stuff as much as others seem to :[

This is pretty cool so far. Makes my air pods feel like they need anchor arms. Nice improvement from their last album.
^ and i can hella relate @Jesper. Liked their last a lot at first, then subsequent listens the same night made me never wanna listen to it again, though i still didn’t think they were bad

@Venin I'm surprised you rated The Ladder so low given what you said about the more melodic sections, the chorus on that song is one of my personal favourite moments on the album.

This is very good
For a CD collecting freak like myself it's a bit of a shame that there are no visible plans for a lot of physical releases for this tho

Yeah I feel that, the vinyl's sold out too so no luck with that either.

Tbh the album is so damn good that you could really slap any ranking in between my top and bottom tracks and it'd make sense. I expect some of these to really get better with time.
Also don't treat me as any authority on judging the "heaviest" songs, I'm weird with how I perceive those
