Haha yeah, i need more than that though, it doesn’t quite come together for me. Brown eyes is definitely better than talk on the phone though. And I’m glad you like it 8 )

I wish they had more guest vocals like on Energy, which is one of my fav album of the decade.

Energy had a lot of cool sounds and influences on it, this one just stays in one lane both production wise and vocal wise. Still solid though.

pots you're probably memeing but have you heard the track "Menergy" by Patrick Cowley, featuring Sylvester? : )

Cowley is a less heard of pioneer of disco, specifically hi nrg music, often cited as an influence by groups such as depeche mode and pet shop boys

It is such a weird album to me, there are tracks that are certainly bangers but some just dont do nothing at all to me. At the same time, I did not really have any expectations considering Settle was the only thing I heard from them before and it was enjoyable. This is such a departure from that sound though

Edit : Got better on 3rd listen. I guess it clicked. Probably still cant manage to make this more than a 3.5 to 4

First thing I did when I got the Energy vinyl was slow it down from 45 rpm to 33 rpm and damn it's like a whole new 5/5 album.

What is up with the weird volume increase in Go The Distance

Well, this wasn't love at first listen (unlike Settle). I'm going to give Energy a try, and of course never listen to Caracal ever again

kinda diminishing returns on this, but I still like the general sound design and there’s a few songs I’ll be saving for future listenz (Looking For Love, Simply Won’t Do, Brown Eyes)
