The songs saving grace is that the final third of the song the music is left to do it’s own thing. Love the gentle roll of that last minute or so. The piano, and quiet steady rhythm and all the weird electronics.

Lol the vocals in Autumn Term rule and are big reason I love that song so much

Think ‘August’ is in my top three.
‘Nether-edge’ is my pick for best here too though.

Having a bit of a hard time with this, feels more autumn-y than summery tbh so I might retire it for a while and revisit in a couple months.

It’s not very summery here at the minute to be fair, awful weather

It's very folk-driven, lots of dark, ominous vocal melodies over lightly strummed guitars and densely ambient backdrops. It's a difficult record to perfectly sum up because there's so much to take in for every track. Lots of lovely vocal layers, kinda of has that "White Chalk" meets "Is This Desire?" vibe to it

Enjoying how the tube ads for this have the title very peripherally presented and an extremely bold THE NEW ALBUM caption doing the heavy lifting

I am once again shilling Gazelle Twin’s new album Black Dog
It gives spooky vibes and is slow and arty. Maybe the PJ Harvey crowd could appreciate it
