Well typical Turkish culture is most often associated with the Anatolian elements, so you're not really off in calling it Turkish. The regions of Central Anatolia, East Anatolia and Southeast Anatolia (which is heavily Kurdish) together constitute the biggest land mass that makes up modern day Turkey. The Western and Southwestern part of Turkey on the other hand are more Mediterranean (and have quite a bit of cultural influence from Greece) and in the north you have the Black Sea region which has a heavy Georgian cultural influence (Black Sea Turks often describe themselves as "Laz").

For a long long time I hung around in a former mining community which was for the most part Southern Italian, Turkish, Greek and Moroccan. Might as well put some of my "cultural knowledge" to good use. I'm familiar with most of the usual stuff that comes along with that; lots of great food, interesting cultures, passion for football and boxing, enthusiastic people and of course plenty of mafia/organized crime activity (which comes with the territory lol)
