I'm pretty sure that Per and Tobias share many of the same influences, Dewinged.

Funny, Gridworm is the one track that I can't digest yet, maybe because it's so chaotic and a lot happens. Kinda like in Chrononautilus to be honest
I really like the closer track though, that intro/outro riff is in equal parts calming and ominous, and Per's sung passage sounds a lot like something Dimmu would do back when they had Vortex

Dmax, as for the production not being as clean as Phase I, I wonder if thats a stylistic choice given the story theyre trying to tell? like the worlds goin to shit cuz of evil AI or whatever so it has a grittier sound or somethin. idk

Scar Symmetry is one of my favorite bands and I was really looking forward to this album, but it feels like a big step down from Phase 1 to me. Nothing even comes close to Neohuman or Technocalyptic Cybergeddon. My biggest issue is the shitty production/mixing. The clean vocals are buried in the mix and bass sound is just too loud. It just ruins the overall experience for me since the production on Phase 1 was perfect. I am really hoping it will grow on me with more listens though.
