alright umm hate to say it but yall hyped me a lil too much for this, it was okay. probs behind concrete and gold and sonic highways tbh. that being said, the sound is great. like, considerably great. writing is just mostly okay. t/t, Show Me How, and Rest were the best. Rest is almost definitely one of their all-timers.

album starts good tbh, each song just keeps getting better til t/t which is veryyy strong. then it's all mostly okay minus the aforementioned highlights. The Teacher was...okay? last 3 mins were insane. was waiting for it to pick up and i'm glad it happened. thought the first part was gonna diverge into something else after the first break and then it just didnt and i was like...ummm okay!

still, it was clear a lot went into this emotionally and it was definitely a somber listen. i'll give it another go. definitely wasn't bad and was light years better than their last album. but like, not even close to Wasting Light and Color and Shape like I was hearing.

I completely didn’t know this came out. Knew they announced a new record awhile back and just remembered. Looked it up, been out for months!
I’ve kinda lost hope in these guys. They haven’t made good albums since Sonic Highways and Wasting Light. And a bunch of other boring albums. Their first few are their best though.

Medicine at Midnight and Concrete & Gold did nothing for me. Run was a cool song but that’s all I remember from the two.
