Kalmah are one of my favourite bands so my expectations were high. This is their best record in years.

"Drifting in a Dream" is fucking awesome, the rest of the album is decent but nothing crazy. Riffs are good.

Is it just me or is the production really bad here?

When they announced the album they specifically said "no digital-over-polished-shit but real amps and raw playing", so maybe that's what they meant lol.

I can get with that^
I gave St.Anger a full listen for the first time ever last week and enjoyed it simply because it sounded like a band jamming. Trash can snare and all.

Haven't checked this yet but I'm confident it'll rule. Kalmah have always been fairly consistent in quality.

and this is 12 Gauge-tier, which is great. I think a step below Waltz/Seventh.

About halfway through and this is ripping hard so far. Thought this band would be on autopilot the rest of their career but this sounds fresh. Gonna sit on it before I tier it but it feels like top tier in their discog right now

I was expecting this to be just good but this is one of their best or at least one of their most consistent albums.

"Judging by the overall rating you're not alone ;)"
Actually Fer, I'm starting to feel less enthusiast about this one the more I hear it.
