Yeah all the singles people are complaining about I just skipped, which, shockingly, everyone has the ability to do. Agreed they made a couple of weird choices tho, the only one I really listened to was Parabiosis and I think that was a perfect choice and I'm really glad I listened to nothing else.

Anyway I feel that Loic is really capturing my preference for mellow, dim lighting at the end of Unconformities. I believe I would tackle the line with the same level of aggression.

Aye

One day, I wanna listen to this whole series in sequence--Phanerozoic I & II into this. Wonder how well it all syncs up.

Lmao yeah I'm pretty weak as well but when a band like this that I find to be specifically album oriented starts dropping 3-4 singles i can't do it, it's way too much, especially dropping the last fucking song like, pls no.

Any time a big crunchy guitar riff enters into the album it's absolutely fucking massive, I love how their sparse use of some of the bigger moments make them that much bigger.

I've never tried them out, but I suppose I will be figuring out the hype soon enough.

I actually kinda love the direction they took this as a whole. I hope they dont repeat themselves too much and stat dynamic and keep everyone guessing

Question for someone who's still trying to devote time to a full listen of the Phanerozoic albums: finish those first or listen to this first?

Animal just listen to both Phanz first to get a feel of the passage of time and the whole epoch concept they went with. Will also give you a good handle on the band itself

Yeah this whole series is basically a perfect description of the modern Ocean sound and the way it has evolved. What a trip it has been...

Songs here and there don t work, but yeah, its very good if you like bands like CoL etc, I mean if you don't want to think which is better and polarize them.
