I absolutely agree Don. It's simply perfect.

That's crazy I didn't like it at all. Prefer Wetton's vocals and again, the buildup and climax just misses the punch that the studio version has

I can agree with Wetton's vocals. Wetton always was one of my favourite vocalists and bassists. But the rest, for me, is perfect.

I guess because Starless might be my favorite song of all time, any rendition that's not perfect just leaves me completely underwhelmed and disappointed.

I don't know, for me it is really, really strong! It's also up there for being one of my favorite songs ever and I really dig this version. I think the build up is where the three drummer set up really shines and the chemistry and interplay of the whole seven-headed hydra is magical.
I think what is great about Jakko is that he sings songs of all the different singers really well, with like 95 % of the original quality, which is quite an achievement given how different early KC singers were. But yeah, he is not 100 per cent of neither of them.

that's cool I don't want to shit on that version I'd just rather listen to the studio versions. Hits the sweet spot for me

Always wanted to try out Crimson and haven't listened to enough live albums, I'm going to check this out sometime. Also, saw this on the user reviews Reefa!

Hands down the defining document of '80s King Crimson. Only knock against it is that they didn't include Neal And Jack And Me and The Sheltering Sky instead of the lesser quality 3OAPP material. Also highly recommend the Live at Frejus and 3OAPP Live in Japan 1984 live albums/videos, they're killer.
