It bothers me that this band released two good albums and then several clunkers, took a ten year break and then came back and said “we didn’t learn anything while we were away, so here’s some dated corny numetal again”
If they slightly tweaked their formula to be Vein, or literally any post-hardcore band they’d have a smash hit reunion record. Someone please tell them

Welcome had its moments but count the number of times he says ‘me’ and ‘myself’ in it. Oh and there’s the songs Mine and Myself haha 😂 the latter having a pretty sick riff and ending. Gift is much better imo. Mentobe and Smile are both total bangers, the rap elements in album’s middle section are terrible however.
Blue Sky Research is a decent record however! Very underrated and sonically expansive - it was never destined to be a huge hit however though. They just don’t have that…appeal. Not sure what. Anyways Plead the Fifth was…meh. But yeah, used to listen to Taproot a lot when I was 14-15 ha!
