Can’t wait to check this! Billy Wood’s curation via his Backwoodz label has been phenomenal, can’t wait to see how this stacks up

Glad y'all enjoy it. I've yet to be captivated this hard so far by anything else. It's early in the year, but woof does it feel like a drag lol

Always a good feeling
conversely a part of me dies when the average lowers with a fairly neutral-good rating

This is one of the more abrasive records to drop on Backwoodz, and although I can understand the idea it didn’t really click with me until the last two tracks, going to give it more time though

Last two are such a perfect thesis statement for the album, they do a terrific job tying everything together.

I'm biased since this is my AotY but I like this better, I just prefer SKECH's confrontational style. Love that kind of grit he brings to the table.
I'd be over the moon with a full-blown Woods/SKECH collab tbh but doubt that it's in the cards.

I'm glad my vote could help boost this to a 3.7. Needs to be higher tbh.

2023 has really started to take off for me, but this is still my steadfast AotY candidate. Just feels like the amalgamation of the abstract hip-hop movement of the past few years, but it's piloted by a guy who sounds like he's ready to burn down a fuckin city to make a point.
