I’ll listen to this for sure. Didn’t the allegations against Walden get like, disproven?

I didn't follow-up on this at all, but if thats true I feel bad for the guy considering he still has the rep.

my fave Emarosa records are Relativity and Peach Club. The singles they put out were garbage, so dont have super high expectations going into this one.

@hobble apparently they did but the damage was done already. Part of the reason i didn’t get too much into it in the review.

@Steak no lol, it would probably be better that way.

@jesper one track in and I’m loving this

Any news source on the allegations being cast into disrepute? Tried googling the other day and couldn't see much beyond the dude's initial counter statement.

Yeah I remember him refuting the allegations, and I distinctly remember something about him proving it couldn’t have happened? Or it was court? It sucks cos I know he’s never gonna shake it now

I can’t find anything on Google

shitty bands should not be allowed to use cool stuff like scorpions on their cover

It's all quite murky. I note that the girl who made the allegations on Twitter has had her account suspended. Which is suggestive. But that could have been for anything and it could have been suspended wrongly. Hard to make a firm judgement on this one imo.

Honestly I wasn’t intending for this thread to be a discussion about that whole fiasco…

Anyway! Album is not great lol.

Album is more consistent than Peach Club but no individual song here is as good as, say, Don't Cry.

Awful. Some bands can survive without Jonny (DGD thrived), others (Emarosa, Slaves/RCD) completely fell apart. But this…. Never expected it would get THIS bad… just wow
