I think this will be a top 10 grower album of 2023 for me. Maybe even top 10 overall???

The first song gave off the impression that this would be their Daisy. Then it completely tumbled downhill drastically from there.

thanks.. haha
still think people are jumping the gun a bit with the Brand New comparisons tho. barely getting any of those vibes and if I did I would surely lower my score ;)

Opener gives me more “9:27 AM, 7.29” vibes than Daisy personally, and while I love that vibe, this album as a whole has been a very quick grower. I kinda enjoy the shock factor the opener provides now haha

How is this closer to Oh, Common Life and not Gospel in review score?

The only way this is like Brand New to me is that they occasionally sing about religion. Style is vastly different but I think the combination of matured sound + religious undertones will always earn any pop punk band an immediate BN comparison whether it's accurate or not.

I'd say most accurate comparison to the opener is Crimes era Blood Brothers with Pup esque vocals.

To me the guy sing a bit like Casey from TDH on some pieces, and they remind me a lot of Foxing on different things. I quite liked it, pleasant listen!

Opener is reminiscent of slayer

Great sound but more references to Christianity than than a Sunday school sing-a-long and I'm a bit weirded out

Man, I love how Fireworks always creates a unique sound. This album is kind of blending together, but it's unique. Definitely needs a couple more playthroughs for me

First track on here is the only thing I skip because it is so out of place.

this might be a nutty comparison but the singer's inflections remind me of Mike Hadreas, especially on the less upbeat tracks
anyway, album slaps

Blood In The Milk definitely feels like this thing's cornerstone
Megachurch overtook it for me personally, but it's still close
