Chino sounds like he relapsed… Boring. The lyrics to this album besides for Procession sound generic. The majority of songs sound monotonous and besides Procession don’t really stick out. I was disappointed by Vivien but I guess trying to hamfist “Baby Hit Me One More Time” for the chorus phrasing will do that..

Palms doesn’t suck imo but they are mellow compared to what you would expect from Isis. Sure they aren’t Team Sleep but that was a lightning in a bottle moment for creativity akin to White Pony. I am disappointed that Crosses haven’t done anything more than sound like a boring Exciter era DM. Shaun Lopez is responsible for the production and sound on SNW and Water and Solutions, you’d think he would put more effort into a Crosses project? It sounds like a pastiche of the debut.

I think Palms is actually his best side project. I got to see them perform the entire album at the Hollywood bowl opening up for system of a down.
Difficult to pick a number 2. If we’re talking the Crosses LP vs TS LP, it’s crosses. But if we’re talking the Woodstock sessions, it gets more difficult.
