This fell super short for me, had a few sessions today and it still didn’t grow. Her lyrical and technical prowess are there, the production feels so incredibly weak to me though.

the runtime really adds to the whole feel of the album, Introvert was too bloated

Broken and Silhouette are probably her best songs ever

and wtf is wrong with Control are you people deaf

I agree that, as much as I enjoy Introvert, my one gripe was that it needed a trimming. So far this album expands on the soundscapes that I really enjoyed from its predecessor and it's a bit more concise. Hyped to have found this before my end of the year list.

Ima check this out today. Haven't really dug a Simz project since Stillness In Wonderland though so I'm a bit wary.

She's had this weird career path akin to Saba where the less I enjoy their music for the more the general populace seems to

Honestly I was skeptical about this being an AOTY contender so late in the year, but this thing is absurdly good. I think I actually like it better as a whole than SIMBI because of the looser feel and more concise runtime

Wasn't feeling this too much. That intro track went on for way too long. Wasn't into that "ah" rhyme scheme on the second track (Riv-ah, etc.) A lot of the arrangements sounded too similar, and she sounds low in the mix. It was hard to pay attention to her lyrics. Being almost an hour long, I probably wouldn't revisit.

I don't think I'll ever love this person's pain, unless they're channeling it into opening an amusement park, movie, or something.

She peaked at Curious Tales. That album had me convinced she was going to run uk hip hop for the next decade. Instead she got worse with every album. I was sure this couldn’t be worse than the last one, but somehow it is. Dreadful stuff.

I'm surprised Johnny gave this almost a 4.
