Aoty for me

Really glad I took a chance on this since it falls pretty far outside of what I typically listen to. It’s pretty awesome so far. Loving the synths and the vocals a lot.

While I really enjoyed all their previous records, this one doesn't do it for me for some reason... Will give it a second chance soon though. And probably a better explanation as to why ti doesn't work for me too

A simply outstanding album. Had to up the rating from 4.5 to a 5 as it just seems to get better and better every time I listen to it.
Thats it tied for AOTY with White Wards 'False Light.'
2022 has been awesome!

Insane talent. I feel like they should be bigger.

Their heaviness/complexity keeps them slightly out of mainstream which is a good thing

This is just one of those bands. I should love it, but nothing happens.

@Eg have you tried Dead Roots? That’s how I got into them, the music is just so ridiculously well written and groovy, all the instruments play off each other and it hangs together with this insanely fun catchiness. Leads are so lush and heavy as fuck too

only listen to that 1 EP from years back. Should check this new one

Reminds me of Crack the Skye in the best possible way.

It's pretty... but I miss Elder of old.

This album rules hard but nothing will top Reflections. Still stoked that they are putting out tunes with such consistent quality!

Loving this.

This album rules hard but nothing will top Lore agreed

Well, duh...
Chances are this one will make it to my best of 2022 list, regardless, assuming I'm gonna make one.

The mixture of song-based soloing, complexity, and heaviness is better here than Omens. Omens felt a little lite, a little wandering for its own sake. The complexity seems more focused and grounded here.
