I usually do a list every year like a lot of you guys but I always save the final draft for my birthday weekend as a ritual (which is in the beginning of February). This gives me the proper amount of time to absorb releases that happen in Nov/Dec and not has such a bias to albums that came out nine months before that. Seems to be a good system

It's growing on me but I'm not sure it reaches the lofty achievements of 'Lore', 'Reflections', or even the best parts of 'Omens'. I actually find myself digging the quieter/groovier passages on this one more than the big riffy climaxes
