I’m really struggling to get past the vocals on this one. I was hoping they’d stick with cleans, as the over the top death metal vocals just sound so jarring to me. I know it won’t bother most people but it just feels tacked on.

yo capn doo right mate!! it's funny i was thinking today how i personally find the first track to be one of the weakest. in general this album is growing off me at the moment, the debut had this great balance of the different features of their sound and felt very complete, whereas while this one has fantastic ideas and continues to explore their unique approach, it struggles a bit with the pacing, and the shifts between soft - loud, dreamy - dissonant, don't feel as flowy and natural

I take back what I said.. not feeling it. I appreciate the off kilter sound these guys have its pretty fresh in the scene nowdays and derrick is the man but the music is just kinda weird tbh. Like I appreciate it and applaud it but its not my thing to say the least

This guys have been my jam, for the last two days, they really hit that sweet spot between early Paraside Lost and early Anathema- Gothic death/doom at its best, lovely stuff.
