i sometimes barely even consider this band thrash because most of their junk isn't even aggressive. Like I remember listening to their greatest hits cd years ago when I was just getting into metal and most of the "thrash" on there was only thrash because it had some palm-muted riffs, but the production was so flimsy that nothing sounded heavy or aggressive in the slightest. Skin of my Teeth is fast but with those half-sung vocals and the guitars sounding as they are it's more like fast metal than thrash. Slayer and Metallica pwnt this and I don't even like most thrash.

you could probs call this album a 5 or a 1 and defend it well. there's a lot of different stuff that can be taken as good or bad, just depending on how you're looking at it

This Was My Life has always been one of my favorite songs from this. SONGS. I think it is a well-written Megadeth song despite the fact that it sacrifices thrash or aggression for melody.
