I like Megadeth, but they can be quite boring at times.

A lot of people praise Megadeth for being better than Metallica, but honestly, they're pretty equal in my eyes, just Megadeth has better soloing and Metallica has better basslines.

I cant really compair the two. They are completely different to me.
But they both have their good points.

I think they're pretty comparable in terms of career. They had two or three good albums, and the rest was nothing to write home about.

Who changed the genre to metal?

Megadeth are clearly thrash.

Mikesn: are you serious? after risk? no way man, cryptic writings sucked, and so did risk. only selective songs were good like trust, and prince of darkness.

I guess it's just taste. :p

I really enjoyed most of Cryptic Writings and Risk though. Songs like She-Wolf, Use the Man, A Secret Place, I'll Be There, Crush 'Em, etc

I guess it depends what era of Megadeth you're talking about. Early Megadeth was definitely thrash metal at its best, but they haven't been thrash in 15-17 years.

Mikesn: thats true ^^ well I do like the albums^^ just not as much as the other megadeth stuff. the album I just cant stand is a world needs a hero..that was just awful..lol. insomia is actually a good song too. oh and that song use the man is good. But i always wondered was the first 20 to 25 seconds. it sounded like a singer from the 1930's or something. lol

Err, Use the Man is pretty pretty good, but I meant to say I'll Get Even.

You're right though, the vocals at the beginning of Use the Man is kind of weird, haha.

The guitar work and riffs on this are probably Megadeth's best, but Peace Sells is definitely a better album. This album is hyped a little too much. And I say that solidly... I've been on a Megadeth binge for a little bit now.
