It's that dilemma again, kids. This is undoubtedly a classic, but there are a couple of mediocre songs.

WHEEL THE WYVERNS IN

Jeez, I heard a remastered version of this. It was ugly.

TECHNO PRISONERS

TECHNO SHIT

I never knew of the absurd remastered version until I stumbled on it on YT. It's a great example of the wonders of good production.

Dave re-recorded some of his vocals and made them louder. Ruins the album.

"Dave re-recorded some of his vocals"

1 song to be specific

Some other songs have alternate vocal takes too. It's not just one song that suffers from inferior vocals.

the alternate takes are still 90's mustaine it's not like the vocals themselves are all that

different. it's the mix that makes them sound so different.

the re-recorded vocals on take no prisoners and polaris suck dick, and the alternate takes are obviously inferior, thats why they didnt use em in the first place :D

despite the consistent and overwhelming accuracy of wikipedia, i still maintain that the polaris vox weren't redone. and talking about inferior vocal takes when it comes to dave mustaine is...well...kinda funny.

Not really, his vocals aren't very good in the first place (which is what you're getting at) so when they are inferior they're actually really bad.

that's my point man. no matter how "good" or "bad" a mustaine vocal take is, it's still dave mustaine.

lemme put it another way: if the alternate takes had been on the original, no one would be bitching about the vocals.
