Well, it's a little more "real", to go along with the album's overall theme I think. I get what you're saying though, it's a net downgrade. The music shure isn't so far though!

"Lorna Shore is the Michael Bay of metal, and Pain Remains is their Transformers."

The review is very, very good but I do have to say this analogy makes it feel...illegitimate? Transformers is not great.

Yeah that's the only part of the review I'm not sure about. I get the analogy but I feel like there's a bit more substance and genuine emotion behind Lorna Shore. Though I am not sure if another director fits better so fair enough. Though at that point I personally wouldn't have made the analogy.

I mean if you feel like it's a good analogy and you stand by it there's no reason to remove. Didn't land for some of us but hey it's your review.

I'm not gona rate it until it gets fully released, but i have to say that this is so far the best deathcore album i've heard in a very long time

First few singles didn't impress me but the Pain Remains tracks are great.

Sun Eater kicks ass, that's what got me hyped. Not gonna listen to anything else till this drops.

Interesting. It's like Dimmu Borgir with deathcore vocals.

Would a better analogy be, "Lorna Shore is Michael Mann and this album is the gunfight in the middle of Heat"?

No I'm pretty sure my analogy is perfect.

Man, the continued hype Willie is backing this with is making me very excited as I really enjoyed the EP and don’t normally dig deathcore in general

Still really excited to hear the full album this upcoming Friday. All the songs released so far have been pretty great.

"I definitely hear a Dimmu Borgir influence in this. I just wouldn't call it Dimmu Borgir with deathcore vocals."

I've heard this comparison alongside other bands like Fleshgod Apocalypse. Although, they sound more like Deathcore Wintersun to me.....which is a good thing.

Yeah Fleshgod is more symphonic/tech death metal. I never cared for them either.

Never could get into Fleshgod either. It's very impressive, but still eh.

It helps the Will is one of the most likeable band members ever. I watched all his stuff with the Charismatic Voice, plus a few other interviews. Such a chill guy.

gonna have to give this more time, but I enjoyed my first listen through! while nothing aside from the final 3 parter stood out to me a ton, it was a good listen

Quite excited to hear Pain Remains III. II is good but it's not as surprising and affecting as I is.
