There’s a whiff of tastefulness that zaps it of some spark set by the kitchen-sink approach but it’s kind of charming to see someone doing 2007 Starbucks indie pop with pleasing late-era Bon Iver textures. I was expecting a Sleigh Bells reboot. Rating is not surprising and honestly I’m all in the contrarianism. Fly that freak flag ya pedantic weirdo
