'Stage' is my favourite but all the three you mention plus the opener are immense.

their reunion stuff has been so consistent. not really the sort of band you'd have expected to age particularly gracefully, but they have

Autofiction really is an amazing achievement. After being one of the four seminal Britpop bands along with Blur, Pulp and Oasis and somehow surviving the loss of Bernard Butler to release their most successful album in Coming Up, their career followed a common trajectory with diminishing returns over their next two albums and they disbanded.

And here we are now, four albums into their comeback, and they have released an album that is every bit as fresh and exciting as their magnificent early albums without retreading or recycling past glories.

I am just so impressed.

Couldn’t agree more lads.

This band have actually proven the critics of the day right by showing their worth as time has gone on. I appreciated them back in the day but always saw them as a fad.

This album, The Blue Hour, Dog Man Star, The debut and the Sci-Fi lullabies collection is the best overall discog of any of the Brit-Pop bands.

That is based entirely on the music alone. Give me Blur, Oasis, Pulp and Supergrass over these though.

Great days.

In terms of 90s comebacks, it's this and the Afghan Wings album for me.

Totally agree. Both albums are stellar as both bands have been so consistently great since they came back.

Why isn't this in the chart for the best albums of 2022 on Sputnik? With an average of 4 and 46 ratings it should be in the top 15 or so shouldn't it?

"Not enough votes"

But Charlie Griffiths only has 37 votes at #12 and Lynyn only have 23 votes at #17.

Suede have 46!

Is it a genre thing? Do some genres require less votes to make the chart?

Has a better out-and-out rawk album been released this year? If so then I need to hear it.
