Man that sucks to hear. While the The Act wasn't amazing or anything I at least thought it took risks and had some cool ideas.

Personally would've swapped a ballad or 2 for some hard hitters, but I think this album is great. Mike's vocals behind Jeremy's on the moody parts really work for me

Although onion I agree with your critique of Jeremy's vocal patterns lol. Doesn't bother me too much but the guy needs to start mixing it up

Yeah they really needed a banger or two thrown in to make this better. The singles to me are the best tracks besides maybe Hallucinate, so if you didn't like them I don't think you'll like this at all

idk I thought this was perfectly fine for the most part
definitely feels like they tried to make an album of "Chemical" remakes though, but they're not bad at all imo

This record is way too safe for its own good. The singles went so hard but ultimately I found myself a bit disappointed. I will say however, it is a grower and I found myself enjoying it more as I was spending 3 hours writing the review

Yeah I agree with that list Devastator, all the other tracks sound exactly the same to me

Their most ambitious outing to date. Monumental album. Never imagined this band dropping crescendo laden progcore masterpieces like Twenty-Five.

What really stands out to me that showcases how much this band has matured are the lyrics. Who knew they'd go from htMl r00lz to Cancer.

This isn't as bad as everyone is making it seem. Probably a 3-3.5 for me. There are some nice moments here for sure. More good than bad. I've always been a fan of Mikes vocals and I think he sounds passionate here.

Easy 3. There's a few turds (Fire) but mostly a relaxed and easy listen, which I'm fine with. I knew they weren't going to drop anything heavy.

Agree. The singles were all solid and Exhibition and Hallucinate were solid. Rest is fine or bad

I think releasing almost half the album prior to release hurt the overall reception of the record.
Some of the better songs like Watchtower and Sacrifice came out 6 - 12 months ago - and now feel almost out of place on the record if you've listened to them enough times prior to release.

I agree with that. I actually thought sacrifice was on z2 for the longest time. Leaves very little to surprise you.

Sacrifice came out in fucking October of last year.
I like the song a lot - but I've listened to it so much this past year - I actually ended up skipping it when I listened to the album. Same with Watchtower - even if that was a more recent single - but still 6 months ago.

I remember Indiemaus bringing it up when he played the Evil Within dlc and that was back in March. Feels like a lifetime.
Edit:was actually May but still

I just listened to this again. Hallucinate is easily the best track, followed by Watchtower for me. But is it wrong that I kinda liked Noise too?
