tech yes but not wank

I actually think their current vocalist is the best they've had so far. That said, I don't think any of the vocalists have been anything spectacular.

i know he didn't have crazy range but i really enjoyed alex during his time and i certainly enjoyed alex much more than whoever was doing vox on undying light. The new guy on this album is great tho and im just happy the album is good

Just finished seeing them. Played the whole album.
|
| |
yooooo that's so cool you guys both confirmed they played the whole album. Like, neat & tidy, just Empyrean front to back?
I'd have liked to hear a The Flesh Prevails a bit but I'm down for this new LP because I can't stop listening to it.
For our show's billing it looks like Fallujah is the final act tho. Stoked for Saturday!

This doth slap, minus the forced cleans here and there.
|
| |
The only cleans I feel are forced are the guest female vocals, which I've never been a fan of. One of the sour points of Dreamless to me tbh. Thank god they're sparse here.

I don't mind the cleans tbh. Reminded me of the DTP album Addicted. New vocalist was cool. Picked up a Empyrean hat which was pretty sick. Also got a Psycroptic hat and Sweater. Sucks that Cognitive and Interloper sounded awful. They clearly only cared for sound for Psycroptic and Fallujah.
|
| |
Oh shit noooooooo
Ok, so, I saw Interloper once before. They opened for Vale of Pnath and Obscura back in March.
I remember thinking "I can tell this is a cool song but the sound is doing it a disservice". You just go to enough live shows over time to be able to tell what something should sound like, even when you've never heard the band before. The sound that night was not suited for them and I could barely hear the vocalist.
Then I went home and checked them out and it was a night/day difference.
Sad to hear they're still not being prioritized right on tour.

hey quinones were you the dude who posted a track from your band years ago on here? If so I need that link cause it slapped iirc
|
| |
like the only good sput project that I've seen
|
| |
these guys killed it last night, they indeed played the new album front to back and sounded great the whole time

They are note for note perfect live.
I didn't realize like 90% of the album is slap bass
|
| |
Yeah dude watching their fill-in bass player live was a real treat. It sounds nice and prominent live and this guy they hired is EXTREMELY talented. I'll have to double check if he's in any bands himself.

He's the bassist from Abiotic. He's in a bunch of shit so you'll hear him a lot if you search in this sphere of bands.
Saw them a month or so ago with Psycroptic, Cognitive, and Interloper. I just wish I had seen them in a venue with any kind of care given to the sound because most of them sounded like ass except Fallujah and even then, I couldn't hear Scott at all where I was standing.

Glad everyone likes this and it seems to be a return to form for the band; unfortunately for me, it's a return to a form I wasn't really a fan of, lol.

They're fine.
