Try my will be done, crow killer, zombie autopilot, giles, dust

Im not a fan of converge except for some of their 90s stuff. Early parkway drive has a lot of "screamo" - romance is dead, pandora, carrion, dark days, boneyards, gimme ad, alone etc. First 2 albums had the most

And first two albums are their best work. Pandoras fucking great. Checked unearth its okay, not my thing even most metalcore isnt my thing anymore anyway. Vocal wise its just more a midrange bellow/shout than anything. Look at Amos by Eleanora thats more of an example of "screamo"

Edit: I advise not using screamo as an example to describe unclean vocals. As screamo is a whole genre

I knew you would not like unearth as you like screamo. I dont describe unclean vocals as screamo, i describe whiny high pitched screams as screamo. Unearth have unclean vocals too but they dont like screamo and winston mccall has grown out of it too now which is why you dont like new parkway drive. I cant stand their first 2 albums and especially pandora

Winstons change in vocals arent at all why i dont like new parkway I explained earlier why i didnt like this direction. Its lazy song writing boring structures, shit lyrics. Reverance could have worked as a concept album about death but they missed that. The title track from this basically rips the intro from Stairway to heaven.

Im perplexed why they dont utilise the clean vocals on from shadowboxing more and stick with the rubbish mumble thing they use a lot now. Winstons vocals arent even that whiny or high pitched.

Youre obviously trolling if you think unearth and early parkway drive have the same vocal style

They do though, its just that both artists have a different tone where as unearths is clearer than Winstons, Winstons vocals have more of a force behind them and winston on older days dipped into lower registers. Both arists stick primarily in the mid range vocal register

No dude, unearth dont like high pitched screams - they have a consistant mid range tone + a lot of clean shouting tones - parkway didnt have the same style. Sure both do lows and winston does them better but that doesnt cancel out the screamo in the early albums. If you told unearth they sound like early parkway drive they would take that offensively

Killing with a smile and horizons are absolutely nothing like unearth, go listen to them again. All metalcore has harsh vocals but some bands do it better than others due to different styles and delivery

You listen to devil wears prada so it doesnt matter what you have to say, they are a proper bad screamo band. Soul bleach may be better than gold gutter but i dont think this album is a 4.5/5 just like the trolls dont actually think its a 1/5. I would say its about 3/5 or lower, worse than reverance and IRE

Probably 3 songs on this album that would pass as good if you didn't realise it was Parkway Drive. Unfortunately it is, and their glory days are over a decade ago.

Just when you thought they couldn't possibly get worse than Reverence, they somehow pull it off. Impressive.

The Greatest Fear has to be one of the worst songs of the year, but at least it's a good laugh

Albums like this genuinely make me think there's a "Dead Critic" theory when it comes to rock music.

No one is wanting to call out crappy rock music anymore because the genre has gotten so fragile that negative reviews can still cause a "death by critic" scenario (which I don't think happens/as much in other mainstream genres).

This isn't deserving of a 4/5 by Kerrang jesus

Kerrang has definitely fallen off, and they're up every lame band's arse at this point lol. I could rant about how they rated this higher than TOD's Bleed Here Now but )) no I'm not giving it my attention anymore lol

why do critics tolerate this shit lol. This isn't "the future". If you tolerate this, your genre will be dead

SputnikMusic is the new Pitchfork at this point
