Did you skip the first words of the sentence "if we're talking current" and then not read anything after "insane degree," why are you reading sentences starting from the middle like it's a word cloud

Now that I'm home I'm gonna give this a spin. I'm honestly pretty excited to hear this.

your extreme hyperbole teased out a chuckle in me. Its not that clear cut. I don't think anders is a bad vocalist like everyone everywhere seems to chorus on and on.

I prefer anders' harsh vocals over michaels but michael is definitely the better clean singer, even if his range is a bit less exiting than anders'.

I would say I like Anders vocals for a lot longer than most, I don't think him and the rest of the band truly get bad until Sounds of a Playground. Mikael is definitely the better clean singer, and even though he's been doing the exact same harshes since at least DD I prefer them to every time Anders tries to reinvent his sound. Glad we are now on the same page bird man

i actually really like anders' singing in general up until soapf. its still nice in some songs on that (eg. dead ships) but his cleans on songs like ropes r straight up unbearable

I love Anders' harsh vocals through Colony, but starting with Clayman they just got too thin and raspy... and his clean singing has never been good. Having said that, I think his vocals on Jester Race and Whoracle are some of the most expressive melodeath vocals I've heard.

He's unhinged sounding on Skydancer, it might be my favorite performance of his. But ya I agree he's so expressive on TJR, especially Dead Eternity.

Agreed. Skydancer is Anders' peak performance.

I think Anders had the potential to be a better and more well-rounded vocalist than Mikael but squandered the opportunity and then got too old to be able to improve
