3.5 is a rather nice rating for this kind of vintage stuff in my opinion. If it had come out in 92/93 it would be a straight 4+. I've been having a lot of fun listening to this.

Nope, it’s now massively underrated - mixed their existing style, the most tribal sound they ever landed on, plus nu metal, hardcore and a little bit of industrial in the guitar tones sometimes
It has, and this is the killer, MEMORABLE song writing - RBR, Rattamahatta, Spit, Born Stubborn…all different, catchy/unique.
Not everyone’s cup of tea but it’s really successful at what it aimed for
I prefer the two albums before it sure, but it’s still good, loved it at the time.

Beneath the Remains, Arise and Chaos are like lightyears better though imo

I... tend to agree. Haven't dug very far into Soulfly's discography yet though.
