This is deeeeeeense. I keep hearing new things each time. For all the satisfying hypnotic repetition it delivers, it has a surprising amount of depth / variety. There’s a lot of hidden subtleties to unpack underneath the ‘rampant wall of noise‘.

This is truly extraordinary, talk about earning those payoffs. The opening riff to III after the drawn out repetition in II. The closer is sensational. The layering and production is on point. It sounds truly apocalyptic
Who knew all black metal needed was totalism? Obliterated an entire core genre into dust just like that (only half joking here)

The closer offers some respite for me, it's a fitting conclusion and I appreciate the contrast. Good release. Especially in the context that this plays out like one giant behemoth of a song, which appears to be very much by design (I haven't researched this, but the lack of empty space between tracks, the fact the progressions follow-on seamlessly and are all just numbered rather than named, is strong enough evidence).
