I wasn’t trying to be patronizing. My point was that on most aggregate rating websites (not just here) the average rating given is skewed heavily toward the positive side and the mathematic “average” is therefore viewed as a far inferior rating than simply average. Ergo, lots of people here view 2.5 as a rating that means “bad” and 3.0 as “just okay” but that (imo) does a big disservice to the full scale at our disposal.
