I'd like to say I'm picky too considering out of over 5300 ratings on RYM (that's far more updated than my Sput) less than 80 are 5's. But I've noticed many of mine are unknown and/or contentious too.

being picky is not really something I aspire to. You miss out on too much. I'd rather enjoy stuff. My 4s make up almost a third of my ratings on rym lol

Come Clarity and StYE are among my favorite IF albums so yeah I get it. There are a LOT of sacred sputbands (Converge, Counterparts, Obliteration, Dream Theater, Tool, etc.) that I utterly loathe so I wouldn't call myself a hipster either. Cynical dickhead sure, but not a hipster. I try to keep it fun and measured though. I'd never be in the threads flipping out and calling people retards. Can't say the same for some other folks.
