This is classic Lupe top to bottom. Starts with 3 minutes of Ayesha Jaco Slam Poetry, Lupe regularly uses food as a metaphor, Lupe won't let us forget he's a super nerd ("Assassin's Creed", "You was Vampire Hunter D, now you Alucard", etc.), a conversational track between two fictional characters, and all the while a serious message is delivered along the way.

Review more or less reflects how I feel since we seemingly have the same opinions about his recent efforts.

Easy 4 off the rip. Time will tell if this gets the bump to 4.5.

No enough praise for when he pops off in "Kiosk" tho

That closing verse is some HEAT

yeah Kiosk is heavy-handed but still good, same is true of On Faux Nem

this was a good listen but the beats, while all well-produced individually, kinda start to run together. not saying everything has to be Drogas Wave but let's get SOME variety here

I think there's a decent bit of a variety, but really the cohesion matters the most. This is very consistent while maintaining a unique feels for each track.

Seriously? Man if Food & Liquor isn't a masterpiece then I don't know what it
