I hate to compare everything to Phoebe Bridgers, because I think she's an overdone point of comparison, but this reminds me of Phoebe if she had way more fun with her music. There's still a ton of meaning packed into these songs (and brilliant lyrics to boot), but I could also totally ignore the lyrics and enjoy this for the 14 straight bops that it is. The production is also flawless, and the way she constantly shifts dynamics to keep the experience fresh and highly eclectic without sacrificing an ounce of flow or overarching unity is not normal for someone as relatively inexperienced as her. I'm not even 24 hours removed from my first spin and she's already one of my new favorite singer-songwriters. Just incredible stuff.

I think it does certainly warrant comparisons to Phoebe. I will say that typically when I make that comparison, it's often the case that I prefer Phoebe's music but this is a particular instance where I think Lizzy's music is equally as good.

This is one of the few apt Phoebe comparisons. Phoebe is great, but I am a little confused by how meteoric and quick her ascension has been. This album is incredibly and on first blush seems like the album that Punisher wants to be. What a find, this is awesome

I adore Punisher. It's got this apocalyptic state-of-shock slow motion feel. This is awesome in a different way that is far more immediate and euphoric, but I don't know if I could choose one over the other yet. They're both outstanding.

Don't get me wrong, I really enjoy Punisher. I didn't get to it immediately though and by the time I listened I was left with a feeling of "this is good...but this is it?" other than I Know The End, which I think lives up to its lofty billing. I don't really blame Phoebe for the overexposure, I just think everything happened to go her way in a very short timespan
