I've really been missing this sort of music in my life lately. Thanks for reviewing the album and I'm glad you found a piece of music that's relatively optimistic/constructive to help you process what you've been going through. I can relate to so much of what you wrote that it's actually a bit uncanny. I really loved my first spin and I'm imagining this will only continue to grow on me.

I'm torn between feeling like this is "just really nice" or something more. I feel like the lyrics could hit harder than they do (unless I'm just not paying enough attention) and that they could let loose way more. That said, the overall vibe here is soooo warm and feels like such a caring embrace that I want to fall straight into love with it.

This is a 3.5 that I'm awarding a 0.5 bump for literally no reason other than that I love what the band represents and the hopeful vibes this album gives off.

yeah not finding much staying power with this after the niceness wears off, maybe it’ll grow on me

The Numbers is one of the best new songs I've heard in a while

I decided to listen to the album after reading the first couple of paragraphs. This is really nice! I dig a lot the warm tone of the vocals. I'm halfway through the LP and yes, The Numbers is awesome. Thanks for reviewing this!

For those of you who are enjoying this but missing some bite, check their debut - I think it will hit those needs. I like the debut marginally more than this one, but think the songwriting here is stronger. But both are such a good throwback sound that they make sound fresh

Improvement over their debut tbh. This fills the niche that the last Manchester Orchestra couldn't.

I feel like Grandview is top dog in my house in the bustling genre of vague-Christian-guilt-and-doubt core

I've been listening to the first half of the record on repeat, especially The Numbers, Miracle and Heal My Head. Love them. I feel like I have yet to discover the second half lol

Second half slump is real on this one, sadly.
