Ah shit, this is terrible news. He had to be intubated and sedated. I wouldn't wish this on anybody, and Nick in particular is my favorite member of the band. Got the chance to meet him after a show pre-pandemic, the guy is just as kind and generous as he is talented. I hope the providers can determine the underlying cause.

can't believe such a horrible thing is happening to one of the brightest figures in modern rock/metal. I really fucking hope he pulls through. he's so young & from what I've heard an all-around great dude

Can confirm he's a great dude. They all are. This sucks on so many levels and im just thankful he's getting the care he needs right now.

Having a hard time getting into this or hearing what is special. Lotta buzz about it, tho.

The musicianship in this band is absolutely s tier. Most of us became fans during their prog’ier phases

You’d think this would have more ratings by now considering the quality of musicianship on display. I mean my god, how much harder can a rock band really go?
Anywho, this isn’t a knock on the vocals at all, but the vocal delivery and structures here sound conventional to me (even though he’s talented as fuck) and I think that holds it back a bit after going halfway through the record.
It all sort of blends together without something jarring or different coming through over the instruments.

Glad to see Nick regularly throwing us clips of playthroughs here and there. Dude is an ascended riff-god at this point

Carbone's a phenom but also very much a non-prog metal vocalist in a prog metal band, in interviews he's said he doesn't really listen to much heavy music and kinda approaches his shit from a more folk/blues place
And yeah if I made a 100 favorite riffs list Lee could handily sweep a solid quarter of it at this point, loved that Alpha Howl playthrough

New single rules. I love this band

Admittedly the new single isn’t my favorite, but just happy to see they’re still putting out music. I know a lot was up in the air with Nick’s health not too long ago

Perfect timing for a new single, I just was spinning this this past week

New one is good, couple odd moments in the first half that aren't really clicking but goddamn that solo is straight heat.

New single is a banger but the production is a miss. I don't want to be too critical of Ray, but maybe he needs someone else's ears on their music.
