Ben is talented when he sings in a register where he isn't pushing his vox to their absolute limits, something he insists on doing all the time. And yeah I agree, ADAI was not a good record, my 3/5 I gave it doesn't stand anymore.

By the time The Finer Things was released, I hadn't listened to pop punk for five years and hadn't listened to music for two years. I really thought I had grown up. That afternoon, 3km down the road, that record, made me feel the life force come back into my blood. I didn't know who they were at the time. But I didn't hesitate to run back to music again.

Surprised you rate ATWAB higher than this one, except for the singles I find a lot of that record to be extremely forgettable.

their best songs are on Around The World And Back. Where Derek Discanio angrily sings from his upper jaw in All You Are Is History is one of the best moments of the band. Lots of emotion and great vocal on that record. This record is so laid back.

Really? I saw them opening for Issues and Crown The Empire in 2017 and they were the best band that night.

The lead singer is very good live. But the band has a bit of a cheesy feel to it. (personal opinion). I prefer to listen to their records.

FYS's guest vocals were so short in Sundress. Oh well, it might be a good listen.

I actually didn't care for them much until I saw them live lol. both the vocalist and lead guitarist had a ton of energy. definitely kinda cheesy but in a charming way. other bands that played with them like Motion City Soundtrack and TWY just seemed burned out by comparison
