Boney - yeah I haven’t rated any song a ‘classic’ 5 but there are maybe four or five I like to 4.5 ‘almost perfect’ sort of degree

Hm, idk if anything here hits 4.5 level and even Bottle It In had at 1 or 2 of those. I do like this one more on the whole though.

the following is a line straight from his song "Goldtone"
sometimes when I get in my zone, you'd think I was stoned
but I've never, as they say, "touched the stuff"
but on the other hand, there are plenty of references throughout his discography to smoking and drinking and drug use... for example
flyin' acid flashback, flyin' saucers, black coffee
pink lemonade from the faucet, seeing dragons
but they're so pretty, baby - c'mon, let's go tear up the city
naw, think we better slow it down
so it's hard to say exactly but it seems like he's not necessarily (as they say) "straight edge", but y'know, as a family man and father and all that, it's probably what he aspires towards or hell possibly something he's attained at this point in his life - kind of what his song "Too Hard" seems to be about

What did you make of his recent (album-length) “EP”? I enjoyed it more than this tbh.

It’s very worth a listen, the first six tracks (which are about 40 min total I believe) play really well as a nice chill jam. The last few tracks (two covers, one remix) are essentially bonus tracks but are nice enough too. The title track is one of my fave tracks of his in a while.
