It's a sort of culture in itself, really. Some people drink coffee. Some drink tea. Some folks are precise and some like to take you on a journey. :-)

Too right, I'm sure! Though I fancy myself a tea drinker.

Yeh Jesper. Give it time and maybe it'll click into place.

I always find with any Grizzly Bear that the anchoring point for me is Chris Bear's drumming. The picking patterns on the guitar are great throughout, too. Nice to find one point of entry and let the other elements open up from there.

really glad you liked it.

would've expected much more hesitant voices string up around this record. but i guess its dishevelled mystique feeds plenty a desire for the avant-garde

Sounded the most similar to ‘Yellow House’ on first listens…accurate?

Hot take: this is better than Yellow House

It's like an entire album of "Sleeping Ute" except more experimental

Same. And every time I turn it off, I just want to put it back on again. There's something about this that just keeps pulling me in.

Been a long time coming, I feel. He had that one EP several years back. It seemed inevitable this solo album would happen at some point.
