"this album is no ta13oo fs but it's still better than puu by a landslide"

Lmfaoo Puu is way funnier than it should be

“ Zatoichi and Walkin were the best singles he could have possibly chosen.”

They are each others mirror image on the record - a lot of parallels to stuff Kendrick has done before laced throughout this

Also, agreed.

Thank you all for the feedback. Interesting to see the different takes on this record.

the production is amazing and i like the features but, aside from a few highlights, i feel like this is his weakest album lyrically.

i like albums that are thematically cohesive but it feels like he rapping about the same thing on damn near every song.

tbh the beat selection is easily my least favorite thing here. it's all very nice on the ears but I feel like the whole jazz/neo-soul sample thing has been beaten to death at this point.

seems like people are really loving this on the whole though, idk think hip hop has just kinda passed me by at this point. jpegmafia and injury reserve are the only artists that interest me these days

butt.

Can’t wait for Fantano to cream his pants over this and then see every mid 20 year old white dude call this album “fire” with a straight face.

Only song I couldn't feel was that T-Pain feature. No matter how hard I try I can't get down with auto-tune. Always sounds bad.
